Before the thaw, I managed to climb a route called Glass Groove on Craig y Cwmglas Bach. It was a great line and had formed well during that initial cold period of weather. Glass Groove is mentioned on Welsh Winter Climbs Wiki and may feature in the new guidebook. It is not far away from Straight Chimney Area.
