On Sunday morning (5 Dec 2010), at dawn, I walked into Cwm Glas and made an ascent of the frozen stream that runs down from Upper Cwm Glas, namely Sergeant’s Gully. I arrived back at the car at 9am. The ice climbing conditions were completely different to previous year (see dual photographs below for an comparison).
