No plan merits close scrutiny. The crag (Craig y Cwmglas Bach) is high up on the north face of the mountain (Carnedd Dafydd) and is separated by a deep cleft, namely The Gully III/II *. The Gully III/II * itself is steep and narrow and is enclosed by vertical walls on either side. It could be considered a typical Welsh winter climb, but has more of an alpine feel to it.

From the top of the gully it is possible to traverse left, and upwards, to the foot of another buttress, namely Craig Dafydd, where other climbs will eventually gain the summit of Carnedd Dafydd.
